Description
Introduction
The Viper has long been a favorite in the RC EDF community, with models available in sizes ranging from 50mm to 90mm and larger.
Arrows Hobby proudly presents the 30mm Viper, the first aircraft in the new Arrows 30mm EDF Series. Featuring a high-performance 30mm brushless EDF system and finished in a fresh sport-inspired livery, this jet delivers the excitement of EDF flight in a compact package.
Available in both Ready-To-Fly (RTF) and Plug-N-Play (PNP) configurations, the 30mm Viper offers options to suit pilots of all experience levels. The RTF version arrives fully assembled and flight-ready right out of the box. The lightweight EPO foam airframe, reinforced with durable ABS plastic components, provides an excellent balance of strength, durability, and performance.
Powered by a 1110-KV10000 brushless motor paired with a 12-blade 30mm EDF unit and an integrated 7A ESC, the Viper delivers smooth power, crisp throttle response, and the authentic sound of an EDF jet. The RTF package also includes a 2S 450mAh battery, making it easy to get airborne quickly.
Offered in two eye-catching liveries inspired by classic designs, the Arrows 30mm Viper proves that great EDF performance does not require a large airframe. Small in size but big on character, the Viper brings fun, convenience, and thrilling jet performance to every flight.
Notes to Buyers
① RTF (Ready to Fly) airplanes come with everything you need to fly in the box. A transmitter, receiver, battery, charger, and all other required electronics are included and pre-installed from the factory. This version uses an Arrows Hobby transmitter. ② PNP (Plug-and-Play) airplanes include the ESC, motor, and servos all pre-installed from the factory. A transmitter, receiver, battery, and charger are not included. Supports ELRS and SBUS micro receivers. (If you are an EdgeTX radio enthusiast, the PNP version is the one for you.)
③ EPO foam can bubble or deform in high heat. To prevent this, avoid leaving foam airframes in direct sunlight when not in use. ④ The RC airplane is perfect for teens aged 14 and up, and for kids under 14 with parental supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions
RTF & PNP Version
1. Why does the plane drop to the ground right after I toss it?
It's likely due to an incorrect hand-launch technique. Make sure to use full throttle, set the gyro to stabilization mode, give it a firm toss slightly upward, and gently pull up. You can install the landing gear and take off from the ground if you would rather not hand-launch.
2. Where do I put the battery?
It's likely due to an incorrect hand-launch technique. Make sure to use full throttle, set the gyro to stabilization mode, give it a firm toss slightly upward, and gently pull up. You can install the landing gear and take off from the ground if you would rather not hand-launch.
3. What batteries can I use?
Any 7.4V 400-500mAh battery will work. These are commonly used in tiny whoop quads. If you use other batteries, be sure to check the CG.
4. Can I use a 3S battery?
Not recommended – 3S voltage risks burning out the motor.
5. It doesn't track straight on the ground – does it have nose wheel steering?
No, it doesn't. If it's not running straight, you can gently bend the nose gear wire to adjust it. The model should lift off after about 8 meters of ground roll.
RTF Version Only
1. How do I bind it?
It's already bound at the factory, so binding is not necessary. (If you accidentally undo the binding, just follow the instructions in the manual.)
2. The main control board came loose / fell out.
Just stick it back in place. If the adhesive tape has lost its grip, you can cut a piece of 3M tape to size and apply it flat and firmly.
PNP Version Only
1. How do I calibrate the throttle range?
Follow the instructions in the manual. (It's normal for the ESC to beep repeatedly during calibration. If the throttle feels jumpy or inconsistent after calibration, just recalibrate until it works smoothly.)
2. Does it have a rudder?
Not standard, but the flight controller board has a CH4 port, so you can add one yourself if you want to mod it.
3. The SBUS receiver is plugged in, but there is no response?
The SBUS port on the flight controller has a non‑standard pinout: the ground and signal are swapped. That means the black wire (normally ground) is now the signal wire. To make it work, simply flip the Dupont connector and plug it into the receiver in the reversed orientation.
